More than 500 women and girls will receive dignity kits containing reusable pads, underwear, and soap for a year, ensuring safe and sustainable menstrual care.

Reusable Pad Kits

We are working with women in local communities to identify two rural dispensaries most in need of renovation and essential supplies, ensuring better healthcare access where it matters most.

R&D for Renovation of Rural Dispensaries

Creating safe, intimate spaces for up to ten women, girls, and even men and boys at a time to learn, connect, and share together on women’s health topics, self awareness, practical self-care, and confident self-advocacy.

Host 50 Mwandamo Circles

Thanks to a generous donation from Saalt, 1,000 menstrual cups will be distributed to women and girls in our communities. We are already beginning conversations and education on how to use them safely and confidently.

Our free menstrual cycle tracking service is now live in Tanzania! By dialing *149*46*16# on any mobile phone, women can easily register to access information and support. We intend to keep this service free for users, and are currently have over 1,000 subscribers!

Provide and Distribute Mwandamo Birth Kits

Launch and distribute the Mwandamo Birth Kits containing 3 pairs of sterile gloves, a roll of cotton, a baby hat, baby socks, clothes soap, body soap, 4 x reusable maternity pads, a cord tie and a kanga (African fabric piece) all within a hand made Mwandamo cotton bag.

Mwandamo’s vision is to establish a Women’s Health Centre in Arusha, Tanzania, providing accessible, inclusive care for all. With a flexible fee structure, the Centre will ensure no woman is left behind, offering services such as nutritional guidance, mental health support, and maternity care.

Completed Projects

Highlights from our past work that continue to make an impact

Infographic titled "Project Impact Summary 2024" for Mwandamo Women & Maternity. It highlights the community reach statistics: 2,680 Oltukai women, 3,830 Esilalei women and children, and 364 female students at Oltukai school. It mentions a water catchment system for 5,200 people, the distribution of 650 reusable sanitary kits, and improvement of maternity clinics (1 equipped, 1 under renovation). The infographic notes 10 women's circles, with topics like miscarriage, new mothers, endometriosis, and menstrual education. It also lists communities served: 5 Maasai, 1 Hadzabe, 4 Arusha. Women's circles are held in English and Swahili.
